Velada Santa Lucia

A week ago I attended an amazing art event. It was the first time since coming to Maracaibo that I did feel like the odd woman out. Wierdo artist types abound. I felt at home.

“Santa Lucía is the name given to one of the most popular neighbourhoods of modern-day Maracaibo, Venezuela.
A small historic enclave dotted with colourful, colonial houses which, since 2001, acts as a meeting point for
artists, away from the museum context, using spaces of every-day life adapted to exhibit contemporary art.”
