The fourth grade is learning about the ancient central and South American societies in Social Studies. At the suggestion of one of the 4th grader teachers I devised a corresponding interdisciplinary lesson.  The student have been asking to work with clay since the beginning of the year so this seemed like the perfect opportunity.
